Privacy notice
Last updated October 25, 2026
This notice explains how Unflagify handles information when you visit the website, create an account, or rewrite text.
Account and service information
We use your email and authentication information to create and secure your account, send account confirmation and recovery emails, and provide access to your saved work. We also store your word allowance, usage, and account history to operate the service.
Your drafts and rewrites
Typing a draft into the landing-page editor stores it in that browser tab’s session storage; it does not run or send a rewrite. Choosing Humanize sends your draft for processing without requiring sign-in. If you later sign in, the draft is restored in the signed-in workspace. Both guest and signed-in editors store the draft and recent result in that browser tab’s session storage for continuity.
When you choose to rewrite, your source text is sent through the application to its AI processing service on Modal. For signed-in requests, the original, output, word count, mode, and time are saved to your account history in Supabase. Guest rewrites are displayed in the current tab and are not saved to account history. Do not submit confidential client material, sensitive personal information, or content you are not authorized to share.
Services that process information
The application uses Vercel for hosting, Supabase for authentication and database storage, and Modal for AI processing. These services process the information needed to provide their part of the application. They may also handle technical request and security data, such as IP addresses, request times, and error information. If you email support, your message and email address are processed through the support mailbox.
Optional analytics
If configured and you allow analytics, PostHog receives page visits and selected product events, such as starting a draft, completing a rewrite, or copying output. Event properties include counts, mode, timing, and campaign labels. Our product-event code does not send draft text, rewrite text, passwords, email addresses, or account names to PostHog. Automatic input capture and session recording are disabled.
You can decline analytics and still use the writing tools. Use “Privacy settings” to change your choice when analytics is configured. Your browser stores the choice. Our analytics integration also checks the browser’s Do Not Track signal.
Browser storage
Authentication uses cookies to keep you signed in. Browser storage also supports your theme, analytics preference, and tab-specific draft continuity. Clearing browser storage can sign you out, reset preferences, or remove an unsent draft. It does not delete account history stored on the server.
Retention and your choices
Saved rewrites remain available through account history until removed. You can delete individual entries from History. Deleting a server history entry does not remove text you copied, downloaded, or still have in an open browser tab. Close the tab or clear its storage to remove those local session copies.
Contact support to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information. We may need to verify account ownership. Operational, security, backup, or legally required records may be handled separately from visible account history; contact us if you need details about a specific request.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the service changes. The date above identifies this version. Review the notice before submitting information if your use or privacy needs change.
